Take Inventory

Taking inventory of what you already have in your life is an important part of making transformations in your life. When is the last time you counted your blessings and all the things you are grateful for? Some studies show that making a list of things you are grateful for helps improve your mood and mental health for the longer term. But more importantly, taking inventory of our lives allows us to reflect on our values and whether they have changed. 


Improve your circle of friends and supporters

Taking stock of the people involved in your life is also a vital life transformation. We should evaluate the relationships we have in our lives. Determine whether the relationship adds value and reaffirms a good standing, but be aware of relationships where there are negative consequences to maintaining it. Sometimes it may be difficult or even upsetting to realize the changes you must make to a relationship. Still, this evaluation of people in your life is an essential part of YOUR growth. A healthy relationship, be it with a partner, friend, or family member, should be reciprocal and beneficial. 


Study for a new career 

When we talk transformation, many of us are often including our careers. As adults, we spend a significant part of our lives working. People desire change in their careers for a number of reasons, but none more than happiness. According to an article from the Harvard Business Review, “Work-life balance emerges as a particularly strong predictor of people’s happiness. Other factors include job variety and the need to learn new things, as well the level of individual autonomy enjoyed by the employee.” Suppose you’ve been thinking about transforming your career. Volunteering has a direct positive impact on the community you serve.
